Hotel 65 is a good deal
I experienced none of the problems I read about on the Web. My room was in Hotel 65 #7 and it was austere and small but a great place to unpack and sleep for 5 nights. They provided 2 pillows, extra blanket, decent mirror, etc. The staff was helpful, the place was well-cleaned nightly, no bugs. Adjustments needed but easy: Wait for the hot water to kick in; push hard and fast on toilet handle; if the bedside lamp is out, tell them and they'll replace bulb; bring your own hangers. "Breakfast" had no decaf and nothing but white toast butter and jam, but there are alternatives right across the street. It's a 10 minute walk or easy bus ride from nearly all transportation. For me, the price was right.
