read and consider if they should be on yr list

The personelle at the check-in was careless and not polite and had never seen such check -in staff !!!
They could not find the reservation on computer and gave me the phone to talk to their reservation office !!! Res. office asked me question about reservation ,how I made it ,confirmation no etc while the girl could have easily answered them as she had my confirmation sheet right in front of her!!!
They had replaced the old TV with a new wall mount flat screen but forgot to clean and /or even close up the mess left behind!!
The sink drain was not working ,and shower was hardly letting any water pass through the clogged holes !!!
NO fridge and no soft drinks and/or bottled water in the room !!!!!! For £160 a day thy might as well put a £1 water in the room !!
Also how come a hotel £160 a night can not even get a wireless connection service in todays world ,specially while everything was so cheaply and carelessly maintained.
There was 1 tray of room service with dirty dishes that was in front of the elevators on 5th floor in the morning at 10:00 am and was still there at 10:00 PM !!!!
I have stayed at several hotels in London at the price of £ 100-125 and also else where in UK but never seen such hotel . With the service and the maintenance they may be a small village hotel in a remote part og UK but not Mayfair London;not behind Hilton,not behind Intercontinental or all those high class hotels .
The only good thing was the bed and pillows were comfortable .

Park Lane Mews hotel

This hotel has a great location, was quiet and we thought the staff were very nice.
However it is in great need of complete redecoration and is very tired. The carpet in our room had not been fitted well. There was no mini bar. There was no safe.
Our air conditioning did not work. We advised them of this four times and on each occasion were told it would be fixed. On the forth occasion they did offer to change our room but as we we were just leaving and did not return till 11.30pm that night we did not take them up on this offer. The bed was very uncomfortable. The towels were replaced but with small ones, not large ones. The bin in the bathroom had no plastic liner and the walls were stained. The bath didnt drain because the plug didnt work, the flush handle was broken on the sistern so that you had to lift it to flush. A breakfast tray was lying in the corridor when we arrived at mid day and was still there at eight o clock that evening when we went out. The rooms are tiny, this should be highlighted prior to arrival. Finally the breakfast was not of a high quality at all, the milk jug was filthy inside.
This hotel could not be described in any way as four star, I have stayed in better travel inns! Its one saving grace is its location and to be fair the nice but ineffective staff.
