Nice location - 1 min walk from Earl\'s Court Tube. Wasn\'t very pleased whith the room (too small) and the breakfast was poor, served in the basement. Our room was in the back side of the building and the trains were passing by all day - no elevator so we had to pull our heavy luggage all the way up to the 4th floor. But if you\'re staying for a few days it\'s convenient since you will be close to the Kensington Park and the museums.
The room was very small and not very clean but had all the necessary conveniences. It would be better if the sink was in the bathroom and not by the bed. Breakfast was served quickly, and the dining room is pleasant enough, but the food... Well, maybe it\'s the country\'s special feature.
Accommodation was good value for the money. Clean and tidy. Breakfast very simple but ok for the money paid.
Service from London Discount Hotel was excellent and I will certainly use them again when I am next in London probably in August.
Thanks to everyone concerned.
I had read other reviews and dreaded what I might encounter but it wasn\'t the horror story I\'d been led to believe. It is definitely in need of a complete refurbishment however! Good points - I had clean sheets and hot water, the bed was comfortable and it\'s in a convenient location. Bad points - very tatty and run down, thin curtains, orange squash for breakfast.
For London good value for money. Staff was very friendly. Room was ok.
This is not the worst hotel in the world, basic standards, room was clean enough, walls are thin rooms are small, shower thermostat was not working,(worth checking upon arrival) so it was cold showers, i spent two nights there, but did not sample the breakfast,(i believe this is tea / coffee & toast)
Staff did not pass a telephoned message from my wife to me.
There are four flights of stairs in the hotel, a bit much for some people, so ask to be on first floor.
You can hear trains running nearby, :(
but the location is only two minutes from from Earl\'s court subway in zone 2(very handy) :)
Very happy, no complaints.
found the room to be dirty & right over the top of railway so noisy was an issue.shower & bedding clean but both hot & cold taps ran hot.breakfask consisted of just 3 rounds of toast/coffee & orange SQUASH!. Will not be staying again & certainly warn others to avoid.Would be good if you updated your review of the dump!
It is difficult to sleep on the mattress. The bed is torn and was not at all a good hotel to stay.
Very convenient for London travel & sights.
very clean and the en suite is a great bonus. only the rooms are very very small, but yes value for your money
The location is quite central and convenient and very close to the tube station, though for light sleepers this may be a problem because the train tracks run behind the hotel. The sheets and towels were clean as was the room, though the decor is worn out and in some cases in need of repair. The staff were ok, but the breakfast was very poor - only toast, coffee and tea!
I\'d say that it was just what I needed for one night but wouldn\'t be able to spend more than that in this hotel. The walls are like paper which means I could almost hear everything my neighbours said! The bathroom\'s ok but very small. The real advantage is its location, 3min from teh station.
