We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
The personnel in the hotel were very helpful in every way. the accommodation adequate, clean sheets and towels every day.the moquette needed renovating. Many electrics didn't work. Of course noise of trains bad but luckily they stopped from 12 to 6am. Would have been much better to have our single rooms nearer each other. we should have asked.

The value for money was excellent.
Accommodation was good value for the money. Clean and tidy. Breakfast very simple but ok for the money paid.
Service from London Discount Hotel was excellent and I will certainly use them again when I am next in London probably in August.
Thanks to everyone concerned.

a convenient acommodation
Nice location - 1 min walk from Earl's Court Tube. Wasn't very pleased whith the room (too small) and the breakfast was poor, served in the basement. Our room was in the back side of the building and the trains were passing by all day - no elevator so we had to pull our heavy luggage all the way up to the 4th floor. But if you're staying for a few days it's convenient since you will be close to the Kensington Park and the museums.

Great location & price, helpful staff,
I know London and used to live and worked as a receptionist and later manager in exact such hotel there for 6 years but have not been back for 15 years until now. I knew what to expect and knew the area very well but read the reviews in advance and was apprehensive of the "bug"scare. This is all not true.
Earls Court is very central London and Aquarius is 5min away from the tube & buss stop. You can ask for bus map from the tube ticket office. The staff - Altaf and especially Seda, the main receptionist were very helpful and tried to accommodate everything we asked for. We felt welcomed and cared for. . I found the shower drain blocked and did not want to ask but my daughter told them and upon returning in the evening they have solved the problem immediately. Also I was cold and said it and they gave me a heater. Although the North American hotel standards and expectations are higher, we really had a great time. The mattresses were new and we specifically checked at the back for bugs but this is just a plain lie, NO BUGS. They clean and try to do their best which we really appreciated it The linen and towels were new and we had fresh towels.every morning The breakfast is typical = toasts, butter, jam, coffee, tea, milk in abundance, which we only ate the first day. After that we slept until late and were buying sandwiches and had coffee around Earls Court. Only the carpet is worn out but compare to everything else what you get for this money it is OK. London and its hotels are like that but more expensive even the not so central ones, so I recommend it and will use it in every stay in the future. It will be even better in summer and the prices are going up only with 10pounds. Change money before going there. You can hear the tube but you can sleep if you run around all day in London. We had a great experience.

Not as bad as expected
I had read other reviews and dreaded what I might encounter but it wasn't the horror story I'd been led to believe. It is definitely in need of a complete refurbishment however! Good points - I had clean sheets and hot water, the bed was comfortable and it's in a convenient location. Bad points - very tatty and run down, thin curtains, orange squash for breakfast.
