On the north side of the Thames near rthe City of London is an area known as London Bridge. This is one of London's oldest areas and is so called after the famous London Bridge. The original bridge was bought by an American millionaire in the 70's and transported stone by stone back to the US where it was reconstructed and now stands as a tourist attraction in Arizona. London Bridge is also home to a mainline railway station serving destinations in south east England such as Kent and Sussex. Many financial based businesses are located in London Bridge due to it's proximity to the City. The whole area has undergone development over the last 10 years and it is now a pleasant and interesting place to visit.
