Arguably the most famous bridge of all in London, Tower Bridge has proudly stood to the east of the City of London since it's construction at the end of the 19th century. Prior to the recent building of the new Queen Elizabeth II bridge which connects East London with north Kent, Tower Bridge was the most easterly bridge traversing the Thames. It is unique in it's constrction in that it opens up in the middle to let taller ship pass through on their journey to the city centre. The Tower Bridge Experience offers a fascinating insight into the history of this grand 'old lady' and allows you to walk across the very top of Tower Bridge.
