Staff were friendly and helpful but some hardly spoke English. Both rooms we stayed in were in poor decorative condition, the bath and basin were dirty, and the carpet and upholstery in room 407 were filthy - the stains were distributed like a dalmation\'s spots! In both rooms one twin bed had a good matress, the other had springs sticking out. We moved rooms after the first night because we were given a smoking room although we requested non-smoking - the receptionist said this request had not been forwarded to them. The included breakfast provided a good range of foods, generally of poor quality, and the \"hot\" food was almost cold.
The hotel is in a very convenient situation and was good value at £80.00 per night for two people, and this included free parking which is excellent in this part of London. However, there are very few parking places, first-come first-served, and access is difficult.
