Bank of England Museum
The Bank of England Museum, situated in the heart of the City of London, tells the story from its foundation in 1694 to its role today as the United Kingdom\'s central bank.
Admission to the museum is free of charge; a museum guide, which is available in English, Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish is included.
Talks and presentations are offered free of charge but must be booked in advance.

British Museum
The British Museum is one of the world\'s finest museums. Founed by Zandra Rhodes, the Fashion and Textile Museum has been designed by the Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta. The museum is housed in a pink and orange building in Bermondsey, South East London.

Leighton House Museum
Vitorian artist Lord Leighton had this three-storey, red-brick studio-house built to his own design on the edge of Holland Park. It was a private palace devoted to art, equipped with only one bedroom as he didn\'t want to be bothered with house guests. Every room has been restored in period style, the most stunning is the Arab Room, complete with pool and marble pillars and based on a Moorish banqueting hall in Palermo. Other room are hung with paintings by Leighton and many of his pre-Raphaelite contemporaries.

Linley Sambourne House
A mass of paintings, cartoons and photograph covers the walls in the Victorian house occupied by political illustrator Edward Linley Sambourne. It was open as a museum in 1980, remained almost totally unaltered during the intervening years, preserving its over furnished, late 19th century appearance. The room still have their original wallpapers, Asian rugs, stained-glass windows.

National Maritime Museum-Greenwich
The National Maritime Museum includes the 17th-century Queen�s House and, from the 1950s. The collections there comprise more than two million items, many on loan to museums elsewhere in Britain. Entry to all NMM\'s sites at Greenwich is free but charges are made for some special exhibitions.

Royal Air Force Museum London
Royal Air Force Museum London is situated on the historic site of the Aerodrome. Officially opened in 1972 by Her Majesty the Queen, the museum has nowadays 80 aircrafts on display, an interactive area, a simulator ride and a multi-media account of the Battle of Britain.

The Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms
The world\'s first major museum dedicated to the life of Sir Winston Churchill opens at the Cabinet War Rooms in February 2005. Wallace Collection
The Wallace Collection is both a national museum and the finest private collection of art ever assembled by one family. It was bequeathed to the nation by Lady Wallace, widow of Sir Richard Wallace, in 1897, and opened to the public just over three years later on 22 June 1900. Its first visitors were variously delighted, amazed and bemused. Among its treasures are one of the best collections of French 18th-century pictures, porcelain and furniture in the world, a remarkable array of 17th-century paintings and a superb armoury.
