Tour of Royal Windsor and Runnymede - ( Tour ) Time of Day: Morning
Leaving London your morning tour to Windsor travels via Runnymede where in 1215 King John sealed the Magna Carta and where there is a memorial to John F. Kennedy.
You will approach the Castle from Windsor Great Park with stunning views of the Castle. Windsor Castle, built high above the River Thames, has been home to the Royal Family for 900 years, and is the largest fully occupied Castle in the world.
You will be able to explore the magnificent State Apartments*, still used on state occasions and for royal receptions; St Georgeļæ½s Chapel, the burial place of many kings and queens, and the home of our senior order of chivalry, the Order of the Garter. The Changing of the Guard can also be seen.**
