A good location, less than ten mins walk to Bond Street underground!
THE HOTEL AND ROOMS WERE AVERAGE, GOOD CHOICE FOR BREAKFAST, HOTEL WAS CENTRAL FOR US AS WE WERE ON A SHOPING TRIP, WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN
The hotel was badly in need of rennovation. Decor was very dated and shabby. Staff were unhelpful and scruffy with uniforms being old, worn and unpressed. Breakfast was unappealing and on two out of four days I did not receive coffee from the waiting staff despite asking several times and the breakfast room being quiet. The walls were thin resulting in being able to hear every little sound from the neighbouring rooms. As a result I did not sleep for the four nights of my stay. The hotel cleaners started around 6am ensuring that every guest was woken up with their noise. Cleaning trolleys were left in the narrow corridors making passing difficult. Certainly not the standard I would expect from the Holiday Inn. Having stayed in several hotels in this area for business it was by far the worst and I will not be staying there in future.
The hotel room was okay with en-suite bathroom. It is no better than a Premier Inn but is more central and included breakfast. Not bad value for a Central London.
The girls at the front desk were in a hurry although they were not busy. They were not friendly at all. A little smile and just being nice to customers could benefit the hotel and it does not cost any thing. Thanks. We stayed in from November 27 to November 30, 2010.
The location of this hotel is fantastic and it is very good value for money. The rooms are simply but adequately decorated. Unfortuantely, during the recent renovations, they did not add any thickness to the walls, and as a result, I was able to listen to the conversation of the couple next door, and was also aware of the TV programme they were watching in the room on the other side of me. I was also awakened by the sound of the hairdryer in the next door bathroom at 2am. But I accept the shortcomings of this hotel, and for the location and price, I\'d continue to stay here.
All but one member of staff were really friendly and very helpful, the ladie who was seating everyone for breakfast was very rude to the waiting staff in front of customers, maybe a man management course would help. Our overall stay was great, really clean rooms and lovely reception staff. will stay again.
In general the hotel was of good standard, however the room allocated (room 475) was a smoking room. On entering the room a very strong smell of stale smoke was apparent. I immediately asked at reception if I could have a non smoking room, but I was told the hotel was fully booked... At this late stage it was too late to look for alternative accomodation, and indeed I thought it may be difficult for a refund of money. It was very uncomfortable, I had to leave the balcony doors open all day and night as the windows would not open due to the nature of which they had been painted... This was the only downside to what was my daughters first visit to London.
Many thanks
Chris Keith
Would have expected some food at the bar after 1030pm, even if cold. Told to go out and find a pizza restaurant. But none nearby! Otherwise satisfactory service.
This is the 5th time I have stayed here. I would recommend it for its location and valuefor money. It is certainly no luxury hotel but then it does not pretend to be one. The service is good and the staff are friendly.
clean and comfotable rooms ok rates could be a bit more competative but overall ok
Nice room, clean and non smoking.Quick check in.
Good breakfast.Good price and good location.
Quick check out.
This hotel is ideal for staying when you want to sightsee, nowhere is difficult to get to.Would definately stay again.
The Hotel is in a good location close Tube and shopping at Oxford St.
We stayed for one night on the 16th June - were able to check in early which was great as we had a lot of baggage. The room was clean, functional, comfortable beds...and great loaction for shopping my way up and down Oxford St!
The location is good. It is close to Oxford street. The rate is not expensive but it includes English breakfast. I like the bathroom. As long as I know all room has bathtab and removable shower. It is good point for me, and many Japanese people.
An ideal location for a very sensibly priced London Hotel. For the business traveller and the tourist this hotel will provide a decent standard of accomodation and service without the extra frills and spills that other hotels charge an arm and a leg for. I stay here whenever I visit London and have never been dissapointed. Thanks also to LD Hotel for the best prices.
This hotel \'does what it says on the tin\'. It\'s fine, centrally placed, nothing fancy, friendly staff, and not too expensive.
Altogether a good hotel offering comfortable, clean
accomodation. The service is certainly well above average with friendly and helpful staff. Its location is perfect for central London. This was my second visit and will continue to use and recommend
it.
However, my only let down was when I was told that my booking did not include breakfast. Indeed there was no mentionon anywhere on your (LondonDiscountHotel)
website nor booking confirmation clearly stating
room only or breakfast not included. I was dissapointed but considering the \"room only\" rate was
very resonable I decided to over-looked the matter. Thus I am appealing to you to categorically state room only
or breakfast included/not included
in your information. I will be glad to book with you in the future provided the above matter is attended to.
Thank you.
This was not a bad hotel and I know it is in central London but paying 100pounds for a bed and a shower is steep. I would not rate this as 4 stars, probably 3. I only chose this hotel because it was cheaper than the hotel 200 metres away where I had an 07:30 am interview.
I have no experience of London hotels but I have stayed in other capital cities such as Lisbon, Madrid, Vienna, and Prague as well as major cities such as Zurich, Amsterdam and Gothenburg and have never paid so much for a one night stay in a 3 star never mind four star hotel.
Even though we did not arrive at the hotel until 4.45pm, our room was not ready and we had to wait another 40 minutes. Also, the room was extremely noisy (noise from the bar and the underground trains underneath the hotel).
Very small bed in double room)
I did not consider this a 4 start hotel. The one atBeckley square is significantly nicer and it is labeled 4 star also
STAFF VERY PLEASANT BUT ACCOMMODATION IS VERY TIRED AND IN NEED OF REFURBISHMENT
We stayed two nights at Holiday Inn Oxford Circus. Location was convenient but the real address is Welbeck Street; therefore \"Oxford Circus\" and \"Oxford Street\" are a little misleading. We were disappointed with the quality of the room. Small and \"tired\" impression of the room, no mini-bar, certainly not luxorious. If we had paid the standard rack rate I would be really disappointed. With the London Discount Hotel discount/ bargain deal the overall quality/price ratio was OK, taking into consideration the location.
The suffix Oxford circus is pushing it a bit as it\'s nno where near - Bond St being the nearest station. My room was very noisy - on top of the boiler I think but value for money for central london
everything was very nice, clean and the hotel stuff friendly. i enjoyed my stay and was amazed with the breakfast. it was very very nice and was a qiute big option of meals as well. thank you for everything.cheers.
