Expensive for the quality provided, very small room. But I guess it\'s the standard in London. Very well located though, and 2 minutes walk from the underground.
Room was quite small but adequate. Shower area a little black in some of the tiles.
Excellent breakfast - did not expect full English!
Although this hotel was clean the room was not particularly inviting and being very small made it a little worse. Fresh air is a necessity in these tiny rooms so leaving a window open at night is essential but sadly at the expense of noise. Noise from the street could be clearly heard on the sixth floor. The bed had a distinct slope on it where it had been well used so I ended up sleeeping with my feet at the head end! The breakfast was ok but the logistics of getting your breakfast together is poor, meaning that you end up walking over here for your cooked breakfast, over there for your tea, back again for the cereal ...you get the idea. Yes, the hotel was reasonably priced but I don\'t think I will be revisiting in a hurry.
St Giles hotel is situated in a excellent location which makes it ideal for traveling to and from a number of London\'s major attractions. Taking the price range into account, the room was good and all that's required for a short stay. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. Based on price, location and facilities, it\'s a very good choice of hotel.
Rooms are a bit on the small side and the lifts seem to take an age but apart from that the location is perfect, with most of the London attractions within easy walking distance. The health suite is a bonus, must be one of the only hotels in central London with a swimming pool.
Did'nt find the hotel a very good value for money. Also the main reason i booked was for the swimming pool. Went down to use it on the sunday morning and found out it was having maintenence work done and there was no water in the pool. Should of been told this before booking!!!
Location great, hotel OK & breakfast good, but lifts difficult to get hold of, room cold & bed dreadful - soft, lumpy and 'roll-together', so not a good night's sleep.
The hotel was central for many attractions, which was one of its only good points, although the staff were extremely helpful. The room was very small, the showeroom very smelly and the shower curtain was mouldy. Overall it was dingy and uninviting. The room for breakfast was exactly like a canteen with canteen style seating.
This was a central hotel, so very convenient for all attractions/shows. It was also clean and had a lovely swimming pool. The negatives of the stay were that everywhere had queues, the breakfast was awful and very crowded. I am not sure I will stay there again due to crowds and to awful breakfast
the hotel was located very close to Oxford Str. (about 2 mins away) and seeing as we were there to shop, the location was perfect!! the room was quite small, barely enough room to move in, but it was still comfortable enough for us! hotel was clean and staff was always smiling and ready to help. Breakfast was very nice too.. yumm!! all in all, we\'re very happy with St. Giles and would definitely go there again if we\'re in London to shop (but not if intending to spend a lot of time in the room). thanks :)
Small but clean room but possibly one of the noisest situation on the first floor overlooking the extractor fans!
we found this hotel to be the perfect launching point for our stay in london.Rooms were clean and allthougha little small it was exactly what one expects from a central London hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly and we were allowed in our room by 11.00am which came as a pleasant surprise. Breakfast showed a goovariety and we had no cueing to do. Thoroughly recommend it for a short break
nice clean hotel, helpfull staff, enjoyed our stay, will stay again
In general, the quality of the hotel is not best. The location is very good. However, the room is much smaller than expected. Hopefully, they can install internet service in every room in the future.
Ideally located. Very small rooms. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St. Giles. It proved to be right in the center of all we wanted to do. The breakfast meals were very good. Thanks for all you did.

A very central location close to shopping, subway and entertainment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would love to come again.

It was excellent having the swimming pool and gym facilities.
The room was small but adequate. Cleanliness was good and the shower worked! Ideal for those just looking for a base when visiting the sights of London or theartre going. Breakfast was good but crowded and finding a seat could be a challenge. Overall - not too bad atall.
I have stayed in this hotel a number of times, not for its luxury or comfort, but because it is very central and handy for the West End. It is little more than a hostel, tiny rooms, small beds and the smallest showers I have ever seen! The room I was given this time was the smallest hotel room i have ever stayed in...but having said that it was perfectly adequate, cleaned daily and the breakfasts were very generous.
VERY GOOD WILL USE WHEN IN TOWN
The hotel is in a great location, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is good. The room, being a single, was very tiny though clean, and the decore and fittings were a bit tired, and very poor value for money. The restaurants are adequate but football on TV at a very high volume is not appropriate to a restaurant. The WIFI was both expensive and out of order. Would I use this hotel again...no.
On the plus side, the booking with the accommodation service was effortless.
very centrally located; nice value for money; good service at reception. Room was very small though, esp. the bathroom; noisy environment.
The staff were excellet and the location is top class but the toilet in the room could have been cleaner. The bed area was fine but the toilet was not. The tiles where dirty and the room was full of discoloured silicone, the shower curtin had spots of what looked like blood on it. I must say the staff made up for it, If they could sort out the bathrooms it would be a great place. Room 407
Quite adequate and comfortable. Poorly flushing loo the only downside.
We arrived at 1pm - we needed a non-smoking room, the receptionist explained there was only a smoking room available at that time but within an hour a non smoking one would be ready, she offered the opportunity to leave our bags whilst we went off to get something to eat. On our return an hour later, the room was ready - a small 'cabin like' room, but clean and had all we needed for a one night stay. The buffet style breakfast the following morning was excellent - we would definately stay at the St Giles again
the breakfast room was like a large waiting room without any atmosphere. The concierge gave wrong information about early transportation possibilities to Stansted airport, so that my daughter missed her plane. The hotel was offered with swimming pool, but it was not included in price. Ingrid Severin
Its a shame that a hotel of this size dont offer internet wireless zone or a mashione for its guest.
Thanks a lot the stay was great, the rooms clean. Everything was ok. Thanks a lot

I found the standard of reception and the foyer area extremely pleasing including the bar area, the \"LAZY DOG.\" The place was kept very clean and the standard of service from the staff was extremely high especially the consierge who went out of their way to help both me and my mother. The swimming pool and gymnasium exceeded all my expectations and would certainly make me think about returning to the hotel.
However, I was a little disatisfied with the standard of the breakfast room which resembled an old school canteen and at best the standard of the food was adequate. My accomodation was very small but in general considered it sufficient for my needs although I think new showers could be fitted as I had to \"run around to get wet.\" An issue I did have with the hotel was the standard of cleanliness of the male toilets on the reception floor which I thought were particularly poor.
All in all the standard of the hotel was fairly good aided by very helpful staff and a superb location.
Good quality City Centre hotel within easy walking distance to the theatre area, Leicester Square,Picadilly circus etc, would definately use this
hotel next time I am in London.
Hotel very clean and staff very helpful and friendly
The hotel staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. I was able to upgrade at a good price. The location was superb for west-end shopping and theatre. The breakfast was good. The concierge was helpful and looked after the bags whilst we were sightseeing. Would use again.
adequate accommodation in an excellent location for the London theatres. Superb choice for breakfast, although the tables could have been cleaner.
We had a nice time at the hotel.
Although, I would prefer no carpets on the floor in the breakfast room, I would have felt it more clean and fresh air. The breakfast was very good.
Thank you.

Fine hotel and high level of services from staff.
Nice and clean room.
But the restaurant has not much to offer. You can only choose Asian food.

I would like to praise a member of staff named Omar who worked as a concierge. We lost our London Eye tickets and he helped us tremendously. Without him we would not have been able to catch the flight.
Good food, good accomodation, helpful staff and well positioned. Would certainly use this hotel again.
fair accomodation, central, very good value for money. very clean. try asking for accomodation in low floors since elevators are packed. breakfast is also a mess (looks like an university cantine) but you eat...
The hotel was easy to find, but would have benefitted from very simple directions, eg turn left onto Tottenham court road from Oxford street and take the 2nd right onto Bedford avenue, hotel being 100 yards on the right.
Hotel rooms very small but clean and well equipped
Sound proofing would be helpful as every bedroom door opened during the night made a very loud noise
Room was situated overlooking main road and traffic noise and the emptying of bins was also very noisy
Not a very good nights sleep and hence too tired to try out the breakfast
Clean hotel excellent breakfast plenty of staff available should you need them.
very noisy early in the morning
The hotel is very well located. The rooms and shower facilities are very small, the breakfast facilities are a bit like a staff canteen and the meal itself is basic and unimaginative. However it was clean and on the whole friendly and efficient for the size(except for one surly concierge who was not the least bit interested in my concern about thelack of soap or hand drying facilities in the downstairs Ladies)and for the money paid and the convenience of the location I would certainly consider staying there again for the odd night or weekend
There wasn't a plug that worked and I couldn't switch off the shower.
Nice room, single rooms are very small, but just enoughin space. Swimming pool is for extra charge (3gbp) as it is part of the gym.
We specifically booked a twin room and were not given our first choice when we checked in. Although in general staff were helpful, one particular member of staff made it extremely difficult for us to obtain the room we had originally booked.
Breakfast: plentiful but mediocre and non-changing.
Room Quality: Reasonable. However, an item we had trashed appeared on our writing desk that afternoon.
Very poor hotel for the money paid. Upon arrival we were told our room was not ready (despite it being 3.15pm and check in time was 2pm) Checking in waiting was a good 20 mins people queing behind and in front.
Double room was very small, noise from Tottenham Court Rd streets can be heard constently.
Breakfast was average, and not much room in dinning hall. Staff started packing breakfast away a good 15 mins before brekfast finish time of 11am. Plates and cutlery were unclean.
Went to check out another long, long que so just left key behind reception and went.
Overall very disapointed with hotel and stay, not cheap either.
The quality of the hotel was very good value for money. Very clean, tidy and comfortable appearance. However, the checking in process was very slow and inefficient. We were allocated a room that was already occupied and had to be transferred to another, all of which took over half an hour. Unfortunately due to the electrical problems that the West End were experiencing, the function we had booked to attend was cancelled, and we did not complete our stay in the hotel, and checked out three hours after booking in.
Room very small, compact, but clean, swimming pool & gym facilities excellent, staff friendly & courteous.
They need to read the booking carefully. When arriving they only reserved 1 twin room when I actually booked and paid for 2 single rooms. Had to wait 30 minutes to have it sorted out.
Excellent hotel in good location for all of London\'s attractions. Very clean and comfortable.
Unpleasant breakfast room...
Bellow average room cleaning service...
Long waiting for the elevator...
Enforcing 1 pound / 1 piece of luggage deposit from the staff without any written notice or receipt...
Allround efficient and friendly service. Good traditional breakfast.
Comfortable room.
Would book with you again.
Best regards
Hilmar Bendtsen
the room was tiny. we had no hot shower water in the evening or the morning and even though we did complain nothing was done, and frankly the staff concerend seemed dis-interested.
Breakfast was chaotic with staff seemingly unable to cope with the number of people trying to eat. there were also considerable queues to check in. Overall though, the hotel was excellently located and very good value.
