Inadequate air conditioning in rooms during hot weather and they turn into sweat boxes during the night. No teaspoon in the room. Lack of bar facilities. In fact the hotel looks completely deserted when you reach reception area. We had friends and family visit us but there were objections to having people in our room. Staff didn't appear to be very helpful. I asked them to change a £20 note so that I could have internet access but the reception didn't carry any change.

We decided on the Viking Hotel as it was not too far from the O2 where we were going on the Friday evening to see Lee Evan's.We arrived late and were greeted by friendly staff who were happy to arrange a taxi to get us to the O2 just in time for the concert.Room was clean and adequate did need a bath mat though a very comfortable bed and the fan was a blessing over such a hot weekend. Don't expect peace and quiet as there is alot of traffic noise and sirens to and from the hospital just down the road. It has a bus stop just outside the hotel and the train station is close by.Breakfast was a dissappointment not much selection we are not used to eating cold meat and cheese so early in the morning. All in all we had a pleasant stay.

The Viking is not in a good area. Hotel staff are surly. Room was cramped. Continental breakfast was poor.

As many of people said - the proportion between the price and conditions is kept :) However, it is a really clean and safe place which I could recommend. It has good access to local communication.

just booked on the same day we arrived. it was quite cheap for a 2persons room - 57 pouds for both. unfortunately it took us ages to reach the city center by bus from there! with the metro its a bit faster, but u have to walk for some minutes.
the beakfast was not a real english one, only toasts, butter, jam, cheese and ham... but therefore it was cheap.
all in all an Ok stay.
