The Central Park is a period townhouse hotel located a few minutes' walk from Finsbury Park tube station in North London. Excellent transport links to central London via the Piccadilly and Central lines and local buses.
The rooms are very simply decorated but very functional. The bathrooms are very simple and vary in size and shape. All rooms are equipped with television, reading lights by bed head-rest and en-suite bathroom. Hair-dryers are available in reception. They all enjoy natural light through big, period windows. Please note some of the rooms might be allocated in the annex building next to the main building. These annex rooms are the newest addition to the hotel inventory and are bigger and brighter than the rooms in the main building.
A restaurant is located in the ground floor, next to reception. A small staircase leads to the big breakfast room.

Cheap but far out 01/11/2015

Don't confuse this hotel with the other one in London with the same name. This hotel is in Finsbury Park and a little further out of town than I would have liked. We booked a double room but they only had a twin room for us. The room number was hand drawn on the door. The room smelt of the drains. There were some weird stairs in the room to go up to the bathroom. Breakfast was ok, toast, cereal, cheese and ham.

Upon arrival the reception girl was very rude and obnoxious and seemed in no hurry to process the long line of people waiting to check-in! The room actually smelt of raw sewage!!! I didn't expect the Ritz for the price but a pleasant, comfortable room is basic business! Steer well clear of this dump!!!!!!!!

What i liked: clean linen, cosy environment. Dislikes: found hairs in the bathroom sink, it had an awkward smell from the bathroom. Bathroom and furniture in bad condition. It was ok for staying a night and have where to rest.

We wasn't expecting much from price but hotel wasn't clean and very run down. Had booked a cot for daughter but not there when we arrived and and staff didn't sort one. Maybe ok for a base for a couple but not children.

As this was the most inexpensive hotel in central(ish) London available I wasn't expecting too much. However, the staff were friendly & helpful and the room was fine if basic. We booked a room with a shared bathroom but actually got a private bathroom. The breakfast was welcome but again, basic.

Great hotel, great location, simple! Thank God I never read any of the negative reviews, and chose to have a bit of optimism-this hotel was excellent, I cannot complain at all! One bit of advice for All-never read reviews as Brits love to complain about Anything and everything-am speaking about when I have booked rooms/holidays in the past!

It's not bad for a hotel in the centre of london at that price. But the bathroom is very small and especially the wash basin. Breakfast isn't very good either.
