10/10Great hotel for location and price. I wouldn't advise a drinking session in there though as the bar prices were very expensive!

Lancaster Gate / Pheonix 20/07/2014
6/10Lancaster Gate was offered to us as an alternative to Kennsington Gardens Hotel. On arrival at lancaster Gate we found out that it had no reception and breakfast was in the hotel next door as was the reception The Pheonix. The room we were given was dull dark, small and old fashioned although clean. Worst of all was the shower cubicle was part of the bedroom and the wash basin was a small cloakroom size basin. The staff at the Pheonix initially said the hotel was full but did find us alternative accommodation which still small was clean and had proper on-suite facilities. The staff were helpful and polite.

10/10The hotel was well situated and in a quiet location with good air con in the room. The staff were very helpful and courteous. We would go back there again.

8/10Great hotel and good value for money. However, I did book this hotel because rooms were air conditioned but it wasn't working in my room. I did report it and was told maintenance would look at it, nothing was done. Room was stuffy so without air con, was difficult to sleep. If air con worked, would have been perfect.
