The single room booked was so small it was little bigger than the bed itself. I paid £15 extra to get a twin room, not because I need the extra bed, but because that was the only way to get a room that was remotely habitable without getting claustrophobic. The bathrooms in both rooms were also tiny. The TV aerial did not work, so reception on all channels was very bad. Breakfast was not edible as it had not been cooked properly, but they did not charge the £5 supplement for the cooked breakfast after I pointed out to them that the sausage was still raw inside. Nonetheless it wasn't all that bad and did represent a clean and relatively comfortable space to stay. For the money ie. £77 it was Ok, but If I had the funds I would always choose to stay somewhere nice say the Westbury, but then their room rate is over £200/night. It was ok, but you get what you pay for. I would stay there again if a was looking for a cheaper overnight stay with no frills.

Worst room ever
The entire room was 2 meters by 2 meters - bed included. The bathroom was built into a closed, where in order to sit on the toilet, you had to fold your legs under the sink. It was like being in a game of tetris. the width of the shower was elbow to finger-tip, so not enough room to actually clean. Worst place I have ever stayed!

Great location
Although we had to wait a long time for our room the first morning we arrived, we were happy with the size of the room but not the location within the hotel. The basement room was noisy at night (noise from the outside of the hotel & inside the hotel). We were there in that room for 4 nights. When we returned we requested another room and was very happy with the size and the 2nd floor room was better, much more quiet. The third time we arrived for 1 night stay again and was given the 3rd floor room and that was the smallest of the rooms but quiet and comfortable anyway. This hotel was located perfectly has we walked up and down Queensway and another main street, I forget the name. All around I would definetly stay at the Berjaya Eden Park Hotel again and recommend it to others.

I enjoyed staying in Berjaya Eden Park hotel now for several years and can see sustainable quality and service oriented attitude. I'm rugged traveller always looking for reasonably priced places, good value locations to stay. What I noticed in Berjaya Eden Park hotel, the personnel is getting more efficient and polite during breakfast time. Breakfast jams arguably used to be the biggest bottleneck in this hotel development. Queues still happen while visitors wait for their breakfast, however, they are treated nicely, which combined with availability of fresh newspapers makes delay almost unnoticed. I was glad to see, that whatever busy, the ladies at breakfast now never forget to smile and offer advice. The lobby hospitality and service are superb, your international stuff really makes me feeling at home and willing to stay at this lovely Basewater place again. Good hotel, excellent location in a quiet, residential area. The room was of comfortable size, for London standards. I recommend it.

Having stayed at the Berjaya Eden Park Hotel I knew what to expect. However I was surprised with the larger bathroom and comfortable room. One of the best locations around London. Laurie (from Australia)

We booked an overnight stay here as it was close to Hyde Park and the Wireless Festival.Getting back to Peterborough after any show or concert in London is getting increasingly dreadful. The hotel looks smart on the outside but a little dowdy inside. That is because the decor is perhaps not the best colour. The first room we were offered in the basement was fusty and had mould and no opening window. The temperature was unbearable. I asked for an alternative straight away. The second floor room we had was fine. Lovely big sash window to open. Bed linen immaculate; everything was there that we needed. The showers were hot at midnight! Breakfast was continental and plentiful. The staff were kind and pleasant but not overbearing and fussy. Please reject the basement if you are give a room there. It would be too awful for you to bear. We would stay in this hotel again. Fab location right near Bayswater and Queensway tubes; a couple of minutes from Kensington Gardens. Couldn't have been a better location really.

Staying In London on Business
This hotel was a little jewel - easy access to tube and comfortable. Very helpful staff.

Average
Very cramped but clean rooms. Central heating was overbearingly hot. When we asked for a double room we got mutterings from the reception staff as if they were going to give us a double, then the request was ignored. We had to wait in the bar until a table was available for breakfast, on both mornings. The breakfast spread was very sparse, and not topped up frequently enough, and cooked breakfast was an extra £5. Good location, thats about it.
