Wouldn't recomment it to anyone
Would not recommend this hotel at all, a disgrace and the worst I have stayed in. A nightmare to be honest.

The hotel itself was really great... near the tube station very pleasant reception staff clean room the only problem was breakfast. staff were disorganised and a bit rude the buffet was like a market stall the food disappointing too. Overall it was a good hotel but it would have to have more on offer to take me out of the immediate city area next time I visit London.

All rooms were very small and in room 417 the Hot water pressure, well there was none! It was however clean & tidy and enough for the one night but we wouldn't reccommend or use again. We would however use London-Discount again.

Marathon w/e
Some of the fittings were sad. Bed squeaked terribly. Shower poor - no pressure. Shocked that parking was not included in price. Also that despite the road closure we were expected to pay for parking until the road reopened. Kitchen doors open into the breakfast buffet area and I was slightly injured while getting my cornflakes. The duty manager arranged ice and I was advised to visit the local NHS clinic. Happily that was not necessary. Staff were very helpful and the hotel was very convenient for the tube

hotel review
location & room ok, breakfast very poor indeed, hardly anything there when we arrived for breakfast & all coffee flasks empty, also I was totally confused on arrival giving my credit card details to the receptionist thinking there was a bar in the room, concerned that i had to give my pin number & no refund made on my card when checking out as i hadnt used my card your receptionist did try to explain but his english was quite poor

A disappointing experience
Having read reviews about this hotel and the potential noise problem created by the air conditioning units, we asked for rooms overlooking the water. We were told that these too can be noisy due to the trains on the DLR. We therefore asked what time they stop of an evening and restart in the morning and were told they stop around 11.30 and restart around 7am. However they were still running at 2am and certainly were running way before 6am. So we had a sleepless night! Added to that, whilst sitting in the Conservatory Bar during the evening we spotted a small grey mouse dashing between the chairs. We discreetly mentioned it in the morning but the receptionist didn't appear surprised and offered no apology! So overall it was not a great experience! We won't be returning!

Britannia International Hotel
Very nice decoration and positioned 2 minutes from Canary Warf shopping and underground. Very pleasant and helpful staff Exceptional room rate when compared with standard tariff, only complaint was that the hotel parking was the same for residents and non residents so £21 for an overnight stay is quite expensive

Britannia International Hotel Docklands London
Hotel only 7 Minutes walk from Tube Station. We checked in with ease & given the option of a view or quiet room, we choose a view. The room overlooked the docks and with the O2 in plain view, however we could hear the muffled sound of trains but they did not effect our sleep as they stopped long before we went to bed. We had gone to the O2 for the night (one stop on the tube) when we got back to the hotel the restaurant was still open serving Pasta and Pizza, (even though it was now quite late) the food was very tasty and inexpensive and served in continental style surroundings. We had a nightcap in the lounge whilst slipping into plush leather sofas, totally relaxing. Slept like a log, almost missed breakfast, were shown to our table and left to it, I had to ask for tea, coffee, milk and sugar as the staff were more concerned with clearing up than ensuring we had a good experience. Check out was totally easy as the accommodation had been prepaid, they even stored our luggage whilst we had the rest of the day to explore London before collecting our luggage and making our way back to Euston to catch the train home. We missed out on a swim and use of the other amenities due to lack of time, but next time !! If I had booked direct with the Hotel I would have got a better deal, DBB for less money in the Britannian Jan Sale, shame London Discount Hotels could only provide BB rates, although booking was easy and trouble free. Over all I would use the Britannia International Hotel Docklands London and the London Discount Hotel web site again. Mrs K. H-L from North Wales

Britannia Hotel, Canary Wharf
On first inspection room was adequate and appeared clean. Within 5 mins of being in the room it became clear that it was very hot. I tried to turn the air conditioning down from the 26.5 degrees it was set at, but was not able to. I turned on the hot water tap in the bathroom but was then unable to turn it off. I called reception to ask them to send someone to the room to fix these faults and they did not arrive within the hour I had before I had to leave to attend a function. I returned to the room at 00.30 to find it like a sauna which was very unpleasant. Believing that as they had not fixed it in the 8 hours previously there was no chance of if being sorted in the middle of the night I went to bed and had a very uncomfortable night. In the morning I called for room service and after repeated ringing with no answer I contacted the the main reception who said they would call me back. They did not. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Very pleasant accommodation but felt a little dated. Car park was expensive.

Not a 4*
I thought I had booked a 4* hotel, the outside and the lobby were but the room and the service in the Pizzeria were not. The room was clean but did not look it because it was in need of refurbishment, the cornice around the ceiling in the bathroom above the shower looked rusted. The tap on the bath had a piece missing. The control on the bubble bath lasted about 30 seconds before switching off. The service in the Pizzeria restaurant was none existent when we arrived, there was a world cup football game on the TV in the lounge beside and that was prioritised above serving in the restaurant. The pizza my son had was limp and greasy and he could not manage to eat it. I had a pasta dish that looked like it had been reheated, it tasted slightly better than it looked. The breakfast had a very small choice for a 4* hotel. This was a special trip for my son and hence why I had booked what I thought to be a better hotel but I was very disappointed.

Improvements needed
A large hotel, well situated for Canary Wharf. Cleaning staff very cheerful and helpful but other reception and catering staff aloof and \"remote\". Chaotic lift system for such a large hotel. Car parking policy is totally inflexible and expensive. Continental breakfast offer is a joke ! Beds OK, bathroom OK [once the water supply was re-connected] but the internal communications to guests in an emergency probably could not cope. A pity as hotel is well located for our requirements.

Not bad not great
Overall, it's really the crew behind the reception desk who were slightly less than welcoming and the general air of confusion about reservations and billing that really didn't ring any bells for me. Also, the large tear in the quilt over the bed and paper thin walls didn't help first impressions. On the flip side, breakfast was decent, internet wireless access in the lobby free, and an okay bar with very comfortable seating areas overlooking the river. So it sort of evened out. Would I stay there again? Not if I could find something a little more expensive but a little more upscale as well - but if there are no options, sure I'll do it again.
